In an incident that recently unfolded at the Houston Premium Outlets, Constable Mark Herman's deputies detained a female suspect amid allegations of theft. As law enforcement was engaged in the matter on March 1, disruption ensued when a man interceded, attempting to hinder the investigation.
Despite several warnings, the male suspect refused to cease his interference, prompting officers to detain him. Initially providing false identification, the individual was found to be named Walter Jackson II upon further prying by the deputies. Jackson, with open warrants longing for his apprehension, was engaging in a seemingly futile attempt to evade the long arm of the law.
Citing the official report, Constable Mark Herman’s Facebook page recounted, "Walter Jackson II was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Failure to Identify to a Police Officer - Fugitive. His bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 10."
The unwelcome interruption at the shopping center precipitated a turn of events that have led to Jackson's current incarceration. As the legal process churns forward, the bail established reflects a judicial determination that, for Walter Jackson II, the path to redemption - or at least to liberty - commences at the modest sum of one hundred dollars.
