Houston's Shell Energy Stadium Scores Big with Diverse Culinary Upgrades for Dynamo and Dash FansSource: City of Houston

Houston soccer fans can now chow down on more than just the typical game day fare as Shell Energy Stadium heats up its food scene with an array of local culinary giants. Fans of the Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash will be able to savor flavors spanning from award-winning Thai dishes to Houston's own smash-style burgers from rapper Bun B's Trill Burgers, as the stadium unveiled its upgraded concessions lineup.

Recently joining the roster, acclaimed Thai restaurant Street to Kitchen opened a stall in the stadium, bringing with it a James Beard Award-winning touch to the mix, as reported by Houston Chronicle. Known for their fiery interpretation of Thai cuisine, Chef Benchawan "Chef G" Jabthong Painter and her husband Graham Painter introduced a handful of easy-to-eat game-time dishes, ranging from "Spicy AF" basil beef puff pastry to a vegan-friendly fried taro served on a stick, ideal for munching while watching a match.

Not only are Thai food enthusiasts in for a treat, but fans of the city's diverse dining scene will find an expanded array of options at the stadium, according to Chron.com. Houston culinary staple Hugo Ortega has introduced flavors from his Mexican food emporiums Hugo's and Urbe, while pizza lovers can indulge in a slice or two from East Downtown's favorite pizzeria, Vinny's, brought to the stadium by Agricole Hospitality. Smashing into the lineup, Trill Burgers offers fans a taste of Bun B's celebrated burgers before the much-awaited opening of their brick and mortar location.

The food evolution at Shell Energy Stadium extends to comfort Mexican food with Taquerias Arandas setting up shop, and Roostar Vietnamese Grill serving renowned banh mi Vietnamese sandwiches, and for those who savor the smoky flavors of tender meats, Roegels Barbecue will be firing up their grills at the venue. Alongside these mouth-watering additions, fans can also find bites from Churrascos, Williams Smokehouse BBQ and Blues, and Elotes Bravos as part of the stadium's robust culinary lineup.

Embracing the global nature of soccer and the diversity of Houston's food scene, the stadium's effort to enhance the match-day experience goes beyond the pitch. "We really want to support the world’s game in the global city of Houston," Graham Painter told the Houston Chronicle, capturing the spirit behind introducing such diverse food offerings. And it seems the fans are the real winners here, with an expanded food roster that kicked off in time for the Dynamo and Dash's home openers – undeniably, the stadium is rapidly becoming as renowned for its culinary offerings as it is for the action on the field.
