A teenage confrontation turned violent at a Houston apartment complex earlier this month, leading to the arrest of a 13-year-old accused of stabbing his older brother, authorities said.
The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's office reported that deputies were called to the scene in the 21100 block of Gosling Road on March 3 after, receiving reports of an aggravated assault. They found a 14-year-old boy with three stab wounds, who was subsequently rushed to a local hospital for treatment, according to a statement obtained by the Constable Mark Herman's Facebook page.
The younger brother had fled on foot before deputies could arrive, but a swift action to set up a perimeter led to his capture. “The juvenile was arrested and booked into the Harris County Juvenile Probation Center and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon," Constable Mark Herman declared.
The names of the juvenile suspect, and victim have not been released due to their age. The current condition of the 14-year-old victim is still unknown. The case has raised questions and concern in the community about the circumstances that led to such a violent outcome between siblings.
