
A tragic roadway twist ended with a female driver dead following a three-car collision in the early hours of Sunday. Houston authorities are now piecing together the events that led up to the critical mishap at 6300 Westpark Drive at around 2:35 a.m.
The woman, whose name has yet to be disclosed pending family notification, was at the helm of a white Honda Accord when she attempted to make a left turn into a private drive, unwittingly crossing paths with an oncoming red Infiniti Q60. According to the City of Houston news release, the Accord's failure to yield the right of way set off an ensuing collision with the Infiniti, which was subsequently struck by a white BMW M2 unable to dodge the unfolding chaos.
Houston Police Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant E. Alejandro and Officer T. Syed are overseeing the investigation into the crash that brought the Westpark Drive area to a standstill.
First responders hurried both the drivers of the Honda and the Infiniti to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, where doctors later declared the driver of the Honda deceased. The full story behind the woman's final moments is yet to be told
