Chaos erupted on Atascocita Road when a verbal altercation spiraled into a violent clash involving multiple youths, culminating in the arrest of one Jara Polk for her role in the fracas. Constable Mark Herman's Office deputies responded to the scene on March 12 after reports of a weapons disturbance saw juveniles in a physical confrontation.
The investigation by the deputies quickly painted a picture of disorder, in which Polk is accused of assaulting a 14-year-old before brandishing a knife to intensify her threatening stance. Despite the potential for even greater harm, law enforcement officials were able to de-escalate the situation and take Polk into custody.
In the aftermath of the caviling incident, the Constable's office didn't hesitate to lay serious charges against Polk. Constable Mark Herman announced, "Jara Polk was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Assault and Injury to a Child. Her total bond was set at $15,000.00 out of the 262nd District Court."
Details on the condition of the assaulted juvenile were not immediately available.
