A man is in stable condition following a shooting incident in South Seattle, authorities reported Friday. According to the Seattle Police Department Blotter, the shooting unfolded in the early hours of the morning when a business owner received news of an attempted break-in at his property.
The owner contacted 911 before 2:00 a.m. to report multiple suspects trying to gain entry into his business. Details became harrowing, when dispatch received a follow-up call about a shooting at the same location. Officers arrived at the 3500 block of Rainier Avenue South and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. They gave emergency first aid until the Seattle Fire Department took over and rushed the victim to Harborview Medical Center.
The injured man, identified as a friend of the business owner, is now said to be recovering. However, the circumstances of the shooting remain a convoluted puzzle yet to be pieced together.
Significantly, three individuals presented themselves to the authorities at SPD's South Precinct just after the shooting occurred, offering themselves for questioning.
