A report of a suspicious person at a neighborhood park in the 11500 block of Longtom Court on March 11 led to the arrest of a man wanted for evading arrest. Constable Mark Herman's Office deputies identified the individual as Gyerin Bonton, according to a Facebook post by the precinct.
Upon their arrival, deputies found that Bonton, who was the subject of the suspicion, had an outstanding warrant. The charge stemmed from a previous incident where Bonton allegedly attempted to dodge law enforcement. A further investigation confirmed the warrant's validity.
"Gyerin Bonton was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant. His bond has been set at $1001.00 out of County Court 5," stated Constable Mark Herman in the social media update.
