The incidents, which unfurled at the business spot situated at 2001 Spencer Ave, saw the culprits commit the first heist on February 15 and double down on their criminal exploits with a repeat performance on February 24, both roughly around the witching hour of 8:30 pm, the Philadelphia Police Department's Northwest Detective Division reports. During the robberies, one assailant took a position behind the counter, ruthlessly confronting the employee with a gun in hand. The counterpart maintained his threatening vigil over the other store workers and customers until their dire deeds were done.
On their second outing, the twosome was clocked, making their getaway in a dark sedan marked by tinted windows – conspicuously missing a driver's side taillight and brake light. This car was captured on surveillance and by city cameras, its path tracked to the vicinity of 11th and Olney Ave, but from there, the thread disappears, leaving officers scrambling for leads.
According to the Philly police blotter, the suspected robbers are described as two black males whose disregard for the magnitude of their actions only serves to heighten the urgency of their apprehension.
