Spring has swept into Texas a bit differently this year, and locals are here for the visual feast it's brought along. San Antonio's April showers serve up a spectrum of rainbows, and the locals are capturing this colorful display. Fox San Antonio is inviting everyone to share their photos of these prismatic phenomena as the wet weather rolls through.

Meanwhile, spring's early bloomers are painting the hills with a shade of royal blue as bluebonnet season gets an early kick-off due to a warm stretch. While the blossoms typically start to show up in late March or early April, they've made an advanced appearance, nearly a month sooner than usual. Despite the multiyear drought, Ed Clarac from Milberger's Nursery assures that the bluebonnets are not really affected by the drought, explained in an interview obtained by News 4 San Antonio. "They're not really affected by the drought. A nice steady rainfall, or minimal rainfall, and they're able to last all season" says Clarac, touting the resilience of Texas's state flower.

San Antonio resident Gala Lagmark also weighed in, highlighting the flower's toughness in the face of the capricious weather, "They also can handle cold, and even though after the cold and after the freeze, they keep coming back," Lagmark told News 4 San Antonio.

As rare rainbows arc over San Antonio skies and bluebonnets usher in early spring, locals and travelers alike are invited to capture and share these moments. For those wishing to send in their snapshots of nature's splendors, photographs and videos of the bluebonnets are being collected right here at News 4 San Antonio.
