San Antonio has been graced with a grisly double homicide case as two men, James Guerra, 39, and Matthew Williams, 18, are locked up on murder charges for two fatalities occurring within hours of each other. According to FOX San Antonio, the body of Albert Soliz, 31, was discovered, showing several gunshot wounds to the chest, on Jan. 26 near South WW White Road by Interstate 37. Hours later, a second victim, Mando Rodriguez, 43, was found shot in the face at a home on San Luis near South Brazos.
An arrest report linked both victims to dealings with Guerra and Williams, with the suggestion that the trio had been involved in a robbery mere days before the murders. The San Antonio Police Department stated that Rodriguez was attempting to sell meth to Guerra, Williams, and a third accomplice, Michael Jasso, on the night of his death. A heated altercation erupted over the quality of the drugs, per a witness statement obtained by KSAT, culminating in Williams shooting Rodriguez in the face.
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office subsequently nabbed Jasso, the third suspect, charging him with murder among other offenses. Jasso, 18, was revealed to have been present during the fatal encounter. When deputies conducted surveillance on Guerra's home, a chase ensued which concluded in the detainment of Jasso. Through investigative work linking phone and Cash App records, authorities identified Guerra by his alias "Doughboy" and tied him to the murder scene.
Jasso, caught in the web of last month's manhunt, was brought into custody on March 20, aligning his fate with that of his alleged accomplices. As per KSAT, the suspect confessed his association with Guerra and Williams on the fatal night at San Luis Street after being questioned by deputies.
