Law enforcement's long arm caught up with a slippery suspect in northern Harris County last week. According to the Facebook page of Constable Mark Herman's Office, Kingston Miker, clad in all black and a blue Amazon vest was busted by deputies after he had previously given them the slip during a series of vehicle break-ins on Huffmeister Road.
On February 24, the deputies arrived on the scene only to have Miker sprint away into the shadows. Wanted in Liberty County for Credit Card Abuse and already out on bond for charges including Aggravated Robbery and Assault Bodily Injury, Miker's days on the run were numbered as the constables, with a helping hand from observant citizens, zeroed in on their target.
It was the Special Operations and Canine Unit that tracked Miker down to a residence on Adams Run Drive on March 7, deploying the full spectrum of their resources to ensure his capture. Miker tried to blend into the background once more, this time hiding in a bedroom of a home, but his game of hide-and-seek came to an abrupt end.
”Kingston Miker was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for open warrant and charged with Evading Arrest. His total bond has not been set at this time out of County Court 4,” said Constable Mark Herman, in a move expected to extend Miker's stay behind bars as the wheels of justice begin to turn. The court will now take up the gauntlet to determine the fate of a man whose disregard for law and order was as conspicuous as the vest he chose as his disguise.
