Another suspect has bitten the dust in the brutal bus stop shooting that left eight young people wounded earlier this month in Philadelphia. Authorities announced yesterday that Jermahd Carter, 19, accused in the violent incident on Rising Sun Avenue, was arrested following sharp work by the U.S. Marshals and Philly cops.
With a warrant freshly issued on March 12, the marshals and members of the Philadelphia Police Shooting Investigative Unit zeroed in on Carter the very next day. Armed with the belief that the fugitive was holing up at a family member's home on Academy Road, law enforcement approached the residence. After knocking, a relative confirmed his presence, leading to Carter being apprehended without putting up a fight and subsequently hauled off to the police headquarters for processing.
The U.S. Marshals in their press release did not mince words on the matter. "With the arrest of Jermahd Carter, we are now seeking one more suspect. We have asked this suspect's family for a surrender by tomorrow morning and if this does not occur, we are prepared to aggressively pursue him with every investigative resource available," said Robert Clark, Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal for the Eastern Pennsylvania Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force.

Knowing that accused shooter nestled, the team includes personnel from various departments like the Philadelphia Police, state troopers, and ICE, uniting with one purpose: to track down and handcuff those who unleash violence onto the streets.
