A routine traffic stop on a Texas freeway took a turn when authorities discovered drugs and an outstanding warrant, leading to the arrest of two individuals. The stop occurred on February 28th in the 21100 block of the North Freeway. Deputies identified the occupants as Rehan Shah and Patricia Wiggins, where Shah was allegedly found with cocaine while seated behind the wheel during the traffic stop. Charged with possession of a controlled substance, his bond was set at $100.00 by the 351st District Court, according to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman's Office.
His fellow passenger, Wiggins, did not escape justice's reach, having been on the wrong side of the law with an open Felony Parole Violation Warrant from Austin. Her arrest ensued on the spot, but as of the last report, her bond and court information had not been determined.
"Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail," stated Constable Mark Herman in the post detailing the encounter. While Shah grapples with his drug possession charge, further complications hang over Wiggins as she confronts an Austin court's decree.
