In a swift crackdown on railway theft, deputies cornered and arrested four alleged bandits accused of burglarizing numerous train cars in Cadiz, authorities said.

The quartet, nabbed near Interstate 40 and Park Moabi Rd in Needles around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, faces charges of burglary and conspiracy; one of the crew got slapped with an additional charge for sneaking drugs into the clink, as reported by the SBSD - Colorado River Sheriffs Department.

Named in the caper were Juan Flores Felician, 30, Jesus Martinez Soto, 24, Luis Burgos Solorza, 38, and Jesus Baca Rivera, 27, with Flores Felician, Soto, and Baca Rivera hailing from Mexico, and Burgos Solorza from Moreno Valley, California.

The daring daylight raid on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad cars was thrown under a spotlight around 4:15 p.m. the same day at the train tracks near National Trails Hwy and Danby Road when deputies rushed in to find the burglars had made a break for it, with a manhunt in Needles culminating in the foursome's capture, their bail has been set at a hefty $30,000, Following their apprehension, an extra dose of trouble fell on Soto who was caught red-handed with a white baggie of suspected methamphetamine upon his jail intake, according to the sheriff's department statement.
