Fairfield Police Arrest Four Sacramento Juveniles Following High-Speed Carjacking ChaseSource: Google Street View

An armed carjacking suspect led police on a wild chase through Fairfield before four juveniles out of Sacramento were arrested. The Fairfield Police Department reported the incident began on April 13 when a vehicle connected to the crime was spotted on Flock cameras, traveling eastbound on Travis Boulevard from I-80 at 6:21 pm.

Police officers converged and attempted to bring the situation to a halt near Travis Boulevard at Pennsylvania Avenue when they tried to initiate a traffic stop. However, their attempts were foiled as the driver, ignoring the flashing lights and sirens, steered the vehicle onto Travion Court and subsequently into a parking lot, where the car was abandoned while still moving.

The four passengers, all juveniles from Sacramento, ditched the vehicle as described in a Facebook post by the Fairfield Police. Two of the suspects gave up without a fight, but the other two decided to make a run for it, only to be found a short distance away.

Among those nabbed was the driver, a juvenile with a warrant already hanging over his head, who was escorted and later booked into Juvenile Hall.
