A tragic Easter Sunday crash on US-23 in Livingston County, Michigan has now resulted in a fourth fatality, state police confirmed. A 22-year-old man involved in the rollover accident succumbed to his injuries in the hospital last Thursday evening. Initially, three members of the same family, a 44-year-old woman, an 18-year-old man, and a 16-year-old girl, were declared deceased at the scene of the crash on March 31, Lansing State Journal reported.
The accident occurred southbound near Fausett Road, around 20 miles north of Brighton. Coming home to roost with their finalities set in stark permanence, the family was on their way to an Easter gathering. The driver, a 44-year-old man and the father of the deceased, had lost control of the car which then overturned as it left the road, according to information provided by the Michigan State Police. Investigators are currently probing into the cause of the crash but have indicated that intoxication from either drugs or alcohol does not seem to be a contributing factor.
