In a coordinated clampdown on violent crime, officials from Constable Mark Herman's office have nabbed an additional suspect with ties to the brutal mugging of a lawn worker. The arrest unfolded on Caddo Road, where deputies closed in to serve a Felony Warrant on Johnathan Dixon, a man identified by the public as part of the Prestonwood Forest Neighborhood heist.
Constable deputies, arriving at Dixon's residence, were greeted by his girlfriend, Jada Edwards, who claimed Dixon was not present. However, authorities discovered Dixon concealed in the attic, where he was also found with a modified handgun capable of automatic fire, an illegal alteration. Dixon already had a rap sheet with an outstanding Felony Warrant for Aggravated Robbery, filed by the Houston Police Department.
According to Constable Mark Herman's Facebook post, both Dixon and Edwards were taken into custody and now face the legal music at Harris County Jail. "Jonathan Dixon was arrested for the open Felony Warrants. His bond had not been set at this time out of the 248th District Court," the statement detailed. Edwards finds herself slapped with charges for Harboring a Fugitive, her bond, and court information pending.
The actions of Edwards, sweeping her into this regrettable narrative, bear the hallmarks of poor choices in the company one keeps; and the law has a noted disregard for those providing shelter to outlaws. Dixon's case, already tangled in violent crime, now adds to its chapters the seriousness of evading arrest and illegal firearms possession. "Jada Edwards was charged with Harboring a Fugitive. Her bond and court information have not been set at this time," Herman's office confirmed, sealing another episode in an ongoing battle against lawlessness.
