A hiker required rescue after sustaining an injury in the rugged terrain of the Hollywood Hills on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) reported that a 25-year-old woman suffered a lower extremity injury while hiking near Canyon Lake Drive, prompting an emergency response from firefighters and paramedics, as per the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The LAFD carried out a hoist operation with the aid of air support to extricate the hiker from the remote area where she was injured, a challenging task given the location's inaccessibility by traditional ground vehicles.
