According to the LAFD, fire crews made headway against the flames, which had originated in a nearby encampment, and ensured the fire did not spread to the structure. "Initial arriving companies found an encampment on fire exposing a commercial building," as stated by the LAFD. They managed to contain the outside fire quickly before making entry into the establishment to check for extension.
While the blaze did not permeate the commercial building, which stands as a testament to the vigilance of the LAFD, the police were notified to provide necessary traffic control around the affected area. "LAPD notified for traffic control," confirmed the LAFD. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported as a result of the fire, and life in Sun Valley bears the markings of an ordinary day, save for the char of a burnt encampment and the lingering scent of smoke in the air.
