A 32-year-old man was taken into police custody after he allegedly tried to sexually assault a juvenile at a North Philadelphia recreation center, authorities have confirmed. Darren Boyer, the man police accused of the crime, was apprehended following an incident that took place on the evening of March 28 at the Cecil B. Moore Recreation Center.
The Philadelphia police released Boyer's description shortly after the alleged assault, seeking assistance from the public to track him down, as reported by CBS News Philadelphia. Wearing all black, save for a gold watch and colored sneakers, Boyer stands around 5-foot-10 and sports a thin build along with facial hair.
Boyer's initial encounter with the juvenile is said to have occurred at the Red Fox corner store on West Lehigh Ave. NBC Philadelphia noted that the attempted attack happened later that night at the recreation center, located on the 2500 block of N. 22nd Street.
