
Two individuals are in custody following a high-tech nab by the Metropolitan Police Department, authorities said. The Fourth District detectives, backed by the department’s Real Time Crime Center, quickly reeled in the suspects after a robbery was reported in the Northeast on Friday night.
Around 11:23 p.m., cops rushed to the 3700 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Northeast, after a victim claimed to to have been assaulted and robbed by the suspects. The Real Time Crime Center played a pivotal role in this arrest, making it possible for officers to swiftly locate and apprehend the perpetrators. The MPD's state-of-the-art surveillance tools allowed the investigators to quickly get a bead on the suspects responsible for the crime.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department's report, upon reviewing the footage from the area, the Real Time Crime Center provided officers with detailed descriptions of the suspects, which resulted in the timely capture of both individuals suspected of the crime.
