
Metropolitan Police Department is on the hunt for suspects involved in a Southeast DC shooting, as the search intensifies following the incident that left one man seriously injured. Police were called to the 4000 block of Minnesota Avenue, Northeast after reports of gunfire were received on Saturday. The shooting took place at around 4:07 p.m., shocking residents in a normally quiet part of the neighborhood, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
First responders arrived on the scene and discovered the male victim inside an apartment building, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. While the detectives have been combing the area for clues, no arrests have been made thus far. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was quickly transported to a local hospital for urgent medical care, as per the Metropolitan Police Department.
The motives behind the shooting remain unclear, but investigators are meticulously working through leads to identify and apprehend the individual or individuals responsible.
