In a deliberate response to not further risk safety, the Jewish Federation of the Lehigh Valley quickly contacted local police, fire departments, and the Lehigh County Sheriff's Office. They also made sure to inform synagogues and partnering agencies about the threat. Facilities such as the Jewish Community Center of the Lehigh Valley and the Jewish Federation itself had to be evacuated while the threat's legitimacy was investigated. The disruption even pushed an Early Childhood Education program outdoors, where kids had to engage in an aerobics class under the open sky.
