Philadelphia Man Charged with Robbing Two Montgomery County Banks in One WeekSource: Abington Township Police Department

A Philadelphia man is behind bars after allegedly to have robbed two Montgomery County banks within a week, according to local authorities. Dennis Wilson, identified as the suspect in both heists, was nabbed by police following a high-stakes hide and seek.

Abington Township Police Department reported that the first robbery went down last Thursday, around 12:18 p.m., at the PNC Bank on Old York Road. The suspect, now known to be Wilson, successfully fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of loot after handing the teller a handwritten note demanding cash, as detailed by Patch.

Not content with one illicit payout, Wilson allegedly struck again. This time, the target was TD Bank, also located on Old York Road. At approximately 4:27 p.m. On Monday, Wilson is said to have repeated his note-based modus operandi. Wielding written words instead of weapons, he obtained more cash before again making a getaway on foot, the authorities say, according to NBC Philadelphia.

The manhunt that ensued shortly thereafter involved officers from Abington, Jenkintown, and Cheltenham Townships, who all joined forces to quickly locate Wilson not far from TD Bank. All the money from the second robbery was recovered as officers managed to to arrest Wilson, who was subsequently linked to both robberies by the evidence collected. "Officers were able to recover all

of the money taken during the second robbery," the police stated, emphasizing the swift resolution of the second incident. Wilson now faces charges for both crimes and sits in Montgomery County Correctional Facility, bail set at $50,077 cash, NBC Philadelphia reported.
