Good news for picnic lovers in the Big Apple. Starting from April 1, the Seattle Parks and Recreation has rolled out an online system to book your favorite picnic spots without the headache of old-school paperwork. That's right, tech-savvy outdoor buffs can now click their way to a sunny afternoon at Seward Park, Jose Rizal, Woodland Park, and more – all without picking up a pen or breaking a sweat in line.
Gone are the days of mailing in applications and playing the waiting game. According to an announcement on Parkways Seattle, real-time availability is at your fingertips, letting you snag a spot faster than you can spread out a picnic blanket. The new system is user-friendly, and it's a godsend for last-minute planners who forget that reservations are needed at these hotspots. Don't worry, now pushing through applications got eliminated altogether by the system, simplifying the entire process.
It's not just a couple of parks either. The list includes Seward Park, Jose Rizal, Woodland Park, Genesee Park, and Maple Leaf. Mark it on your calendars; you can book 90 days out or as close as five days before your planned outing. Just hit up their Picnic Shelter and Table Reservations website and get your picnic on.
