Seattle's youth are in for a treat, as the Rainier Community Center rolls out the welcome mat for a special evening designed specifically for them. On April 17, individuals aged between 13-24 are invited to attend a free event that is packed with entertainment, grub, and a chance to scoop up invaluable information on employment opportunities that will be cropping up during the warmer months.
Delving into the nitty-gritty, the soiree is scheduled to kick off at 6 PM and wrap up by 8 PM at the community hotspot located at 4600 38th Ave. S. There's no charge for admission. In a world where costs are flying higher than a SpaceX rocket, events like this are a welcome anomaly. As per a recent post on Seattle Parkways, "We welcome families and guardians to attend as there will be resources for you, too!" Quite the family affair, indeed.
The centerpiece of the event is the launch of the Seattle Mentors program—an initiative aiming to connect the city's younger demographic with mentors who can guide them on their journey into the professional world. They'll get a laid-out roadmap to the various programs set to take place in the summer and the fall.
As mentioned on the Seattle Parkways website, it's all about enjoying free food and activities and learning about our new Seattle Mentors program, including information on employment opportunities and summer & fall youth programs.
