
Tragedy struck Los Angeles' Westlake district, when a vehicle collided with three pedestrians, leaving them critically injured. The incident occurred on the evening of April 18th, near the 500 block of South Alvarado Street, a stone's throw away from MacArthur Park. The collision happened around 11 p.m., forcing emergency services into high gear as they rushed to the scene, according to the LAFD.
On arrival, first responders discovered three victims in dire need of medical attention. Each was swiftly transported to a local hospital, where they were listed in critical condition, their identities not yet shared with the public. It became apparent that the circumstances surrounding the crash, including whether or not the pedestrians were within a crosswalk at the time of the incident, remained uncertain, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
Officials have yet to release further details about the driver, or the specific factors that contributed to the collision. The LAPD's inquiry continues, with Incident #5056 taking a prominent spot on the night's roster of emergencies.
