The Vallejo Police Department is urgently seeking the assistance of the public in capturing a suspect following a brazen daylight burglary and sexual assault on Georgia Street last Thursday. As reported by the Vallejo Police Department's Facebook page, the harrowing incident took place at approximately 7:48 A.M., leaving the local community on edge.
The female victim, who was present during the time of the break-in, endured an unimaginable ordeal where an unknown suspect not only robbed the business but also moved and restrained her before committing a sexual assault. The assailant, described as an unknown male by authorities, remains unidentified and at large. Detectives have indicated that there appears to be no prior connection between the victim and the assailant.
The investigation has since been handed over to the Vallejo Police Department Detective Division, which is diligently working to piece together the facts of this disturbing crime. They emphasize that the suspect does not know the victim and that this appears to be an isolated yet highly concerning incident.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and have released photographs of the suspect in an appeal to members of the public. "We are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect depicted in the attached photographs so that we can arrest him for these crimes," a statement from Vallejo PD reads.
