Detroit Police Seek Suspect After Two Women Killed, Man Critically Injured in Southwest Detroit ShootingSource: Google Street View

A triple shooting in Southwest Detroit on Sunday afternoon has tragically left two women dead and a man fighting for his life in critical condition, Detroit authorities said. The incident unfolded around 2 p.m. in the residential neighborhood on the 3800 block of 33rd Street, near the intersection of Michigan and Junction Avenues. The Detroit News reported that the victims had been conversing with individuals inside two Dodge Durangos, one gray and newer, the other black and older, before the gunfire started.

Detective work so far suggests that the assailant emerged from the gray Durango to approach and brazenly open fire at the residents. According to Patch, a description of the shooter puts him at 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a slim build, wearing a white T-shirt. The identity of this suspect remains unknown, as authorities actively seek to quickly apprehend the individual responsible for this heinous act.

The Detroit Police Department is now making an appeal for anyone with information on this grim episode to step forth. “Anyone with information about the suspect or the shooting should call the Detroit Police Department’s Homicide Unit at (313) 596-2260 or Crime Stoppers of Michigan at 1-800-SPEAK-UP,” recited The Detroit News.

Details remain scarce as the investigation is ongoing, with detectives combing the area for witnesses and further evidence, WWJ Newsradio reported.
