Within minutes of the 911 calls, made at 12:48 P.M., authorities were on the scene at Adelanto High School with their sights set on neutralizing what they believed to be a clear and present danger. A statement provided by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department detailed deputies' rapid response and the subsequent investigation.
As the situation unfolded, a second report echoed from Silverado High School, further upping the ante for deputies from the Victor Valley Station.
