The City Council rolled out the red carpet for ITS Logistics as they approved a hefty economic development incentive to back the company's latest expansion in Fort Worth, digging deep into its pockets to the tune of $847,500. Known for reigning supreme in the world of supply chain logistics and technology, ITS Logistics plans to stretch its Fort Worth footprint by adding new office space downtown, aimed at bolstering operations linked to their fresh-from-the-oven ContainerAI platform – an innovative system poised to revolutionize container management for logistics hotshots.
Turning the tide in the logistics battleground, ITS Logistics is setting up shop across 15,000 square feet at One West 7th, with a $1 million splash on upgrades and tech gear. At the core of this move, is the company's gung-ho to bring on board 250-339 well-paid crusaders by December 2027, per commitments that lock in these roles for a three-year minimum stint, according to the City of Fort Worth. The council's conditions dictate, however, that 30% of these new hires wave the Fort Worth flag, and that local business-equity firms take a 15% slice of the construction pie. Fail to keep the jobs or slash the checks, and the claw-back clause bites back.
Peeling back the layers of excitement, Robert Sturns, the director of economic development for the City of Fort Worth, dished out praise for the expansion, saying, "We’re thrilled to see ITS Logistics expanding in Fort Worth – not only because they’re building upon their company’s previous success here, but because this expansion is focused on driving the logistics industry forward through innovative new tools." Sturns believes that these pioneering initiatives cement Fort Worth's slot as a hotspot for economic triumph, as per the City of Fort Worth.
Not to be upstaged, Robert Allen, the big cheese at the Fort Worth Economic Development Partnership, chimed in on the company's big plans, pointing out, "As Fort Worth continues to grow, this expansion by ITS Logistics underscores our commitment to fostering economic development and job creation in our community." With a tag of the No. 19 spot on Transport Topics' Top Freight Brokerage Firms and a spot on the Inc. 5000 list of sprouting U.S. companies, this heavyweight already boasts 800 people in its ranks and a bank-bulging $1 billion in annual revenue.
