
A man was rescued from a towering tree after suffering injuries while at work in Garden Grove yesterday afternoon, firefighter officials reported. Fire crews from the Orange County Fire Authority responded to the emergency call just after 12:30 PM and discovered the man stranded 25 feet above ground.
Upon arrival, Engine 82 quickly sprung into action, deploying ground ladders to reach the victim, who required immediate paramedic attention. Firefighters were able to secure the patient within the tangle of branches. Anaheim Fire & Rescue were also called to assist in the delicate extraction of the injured man from his lofty predicament. The concerted effort of both fire departments, involving a high point rescue operation, ensured the individual was brought safely to terra firma.
After being meticulously lowered to the ground using a coordinated ladder technique, Truck 81's firefighter paramedics took over, administering necessary medical care on the scene, subsequently, the man was transported to a local hospital for further treatment, his condition has yet to be disclosed.
