LAPD Seeks Information on Fatal Hit-and-Run in Los Angeles, Reward Offered for LeadsSource: lapdonline.org

The streets of Los Angeles became the scene of a grim hit-and-run that claimed the life of a young woman, as the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) scoured for leads. The fatal incident, occurring on June 18, 2022, plunged the South Traffic Division detectives into a search for a white sedan—the vehicle implicated in this tragic event.

As per the LAPD Newsroom, at the dark hour of 4:05 A.M., the vehicle was seen traversing westbound on Imperial Highway toward Stanford Avenue, when it collided with a pedestrian crossing southbound. Following the impact, the driver did not stop to render aid or wait for authorities, instead, the sedan continued on Imperial Highway towards Avalon Boulevard, the LAPD reports.

The victim, a female in her early 30s, was attended to by the Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics who, sadly, declared her dead at the scene. With the investigation ongoing, her identity remains under wraps pending notification and due process.

Authorities urge those with information on the hit-and-run to contact Officer Hurd at the South Traffic Division, reachable at 323-421-2500 during business hours, or at the 24-hour hotline 1-877-LAPD-24-7. Anonymous tips are welcomed through the L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or their website, alongside the LAPD's official page and the “P3 Tips” mobile app.
