The Los Angeles Police Department is reaching out to the public to help identify a man who assaulted a restaurant employee after an argument over service times escalated. The incident, which occurred on May 20th at around 1:05 p.m., took place in a restaurant located on the 800 block of West 7th Street, according to a release from the LAPD. The male suspect confronts a pregnant employee about the slow preparation of his food order, initiating the dispute.
Coming to the defense of the harassed pregnant staffer, a co-worker stepped in, urging the agitated man to ease up. However, retaliation from the suspect came swiftly as he turned on the intervening employee, assaulting him with multiple punches leading to minor injuries. Described as a Black male in his mid-twenties to early thirties, with black hair, brown eyes, a mustache, standing six feet tall, and weighing between 180 and 200 pounds, this suspect remains at large, as per LAPD's newsroom release.
LAPD's Central Area Crime Against Persons, headed by Detective Ramirez, is heading the investigation and they ask that anyone with information reach out.
