
The Los Angeles firefighters extracted two individuals trapped below street level. According to a Los Angeles Fire Department statement, the incident occurred on May 16th at 1150 S Bonsall Avenue, where first responders found one victim with leg injuries. The initial report came through at approximately 1:16 P.M., detailing the grisly scene where a person was trapped below grade.
The rescue operation quickly escalated when firefighters, maneuvering through the precariously tight space, stumbled upon an another victim. The LAFD updated their initial report by 02:00 P.M. to confirm the extraction of both patients. They were subsequently rushed to an area hospital, though their conditions remain unknown at this time. Speculation on how the two individuals ended up in such a plight persists, but official confirmation on the circumstances has yet to surface.
The LAFD dispatch included an assortment of specialized units, such as Urban Search and Rescue teams and a battalion of emergency medical responders. The full roll call listed support from Battalion 9, West Bureau, and Council District units that responded beyond their typical city jurisdiction.
