The Philadelphia Police are seeking the public’s help to find a young girl reported missing since earlier this week.

Summaiyyah Ballard, aged 13, was last seen at around 3:00 p.m. on Monday, on the 100 block of East Garfield Street, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. Officials have described Summaiyyah as a juvenile with a thin build, standing around 5 feet 5 inches, and have asked anyone with information to urgently reach out. The call to action is a reminder that time is a factor that can, all too often, greatly to influence the outcome in cases of missing youth.

Local community members and groups have been prompted to be on the lookout, and flyers are circulating with Summaiyyah's photograph and description. "If you see her, please call Central Detectives Division at 215-686-3093 or call 911," implored the police in a statement urging community vigilance.
