Authorities in Los Angeles County are on the lookout for Attilio Brillembourg, a New York man with historical connections to European royalty, last seen in the upscale environs of Malibu. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the 53-year-old vanished early Saturday morning from the 6000 block of Murphy Way, as KTLA reported.
Brillembourg, described as 5 feet 10 inches in height and weighing around 165 pounds with gray hair and green eyes, was last spotted donning a blue shirt, gray pants, and notably sans shoes. A distinctive tattoo adorns his upper thigh, details of which remain undisclosed. Concern has mounted over his disappearance, as every second passing leads law enforcement and loved ones a minute away from hope. He has been recognized for his family ties to the erstwhile Greek and Danish royal families through his stepdaughter, Princess Tatiana of Greece and Denmark. This link was highlighted by the sheriff’s department as it beseeched the public for any information on his whereabouts that could aid their search, as described by KABC.
Brillembourg holds a unique position in the chronicles of European aristocracy, being the stepfather of 43-year-old Princess Tatiana, whose marriage to Prince Nikolaos—the son of the last reigning monarch of Greece, King Constantine II—ended just last month. While she retains her regal title, "There is concern for Mr. Brillembourg’s well-being," according to the statement from the LASD, which was also shared by CBS Los Angeles.
In an appeal for wider visibility, the LASD Lost Hills Station posted on X to solicit help from the community, underlining the urgent need for any relevant information that could potentially unravel the mystery of Brillembourg's sudden vanishment. They provided several avenues for anonymous tips, including a dedicated hotline, a smartphone app titled "P3Tips," and their website.
