
A brutal daylight robbery in Downtown Los Angeles has ended with the arrest of a 25-year-old suspect, Pablo Garcia, who is accused of knocking a man unconscious before fleeing with his high-end timepiece. The Los Angeles Police Department, working with other law enforcement agencies, nabbed Garcia on Tuesday in Downey, as reported by the LAPD Newsroom.
The vicious attack, which left the victim senseless and divested of his Rolex watch, occurred around 3:45 P.M. on April 28 in the 800 block of East 1st Street, Garcia, who resides in Los Angeles now faces robbery charges and is being held on a $450,000 bail, according to the CNS report. Detectives also suspect that this may not have been an isolated incident, hinting at the possibility Garcia targeted others.
While Garcia is behind bars, the stolen Rolex has yet to be recovered—authorities are urging the public to help both in locating the watch and in identifying any other potential victims who have not come forward. A photograph of Garcia has been shared with the public to aid in this effort.
The LAPD is calling on anyone with more information to step forward. LA's finest released a photo and video of the suspect in action, hoping witnesses can tie Garcia to this or other similar crimes.
