Two men in the Edgewater neighborhood became the latest victims of Chicago's never-ending gun violence when they got caught in gunfire Wednesday night. According to the Chicago Tribune, police received a call about a shooting in an alley on the 6000 block of North Kenmore Avenue, shortly before 8 p.m.

Before police could even respond, wounded at the ages of 20 and 23, the duo managed to transport themselves to Swedish Covenant Hospital. The older man, riddled with a chest wound, was listed in serious condition. His younger counterpart took a bullet to the shoulder and is said to be in fair shape. Once stabilized, transfers were made to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center for advanced care, reported FOX 32 Chicago.

Details are sparse as the injured pair aren't singing to the cops, maintaining a tight-lipped stance that's frustrating the authorities' efforts.
