Chaos erupted at a Wal-Mart in Apple Valley when a woman, later identified as Jamie Lynn Salvador, brandished a weapon and threatened employees in a dramatic early morning showdown. The incident took place outside standard shopping hours on May 9, as reported by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department via a press release. According to officials, the 37-year-old suspect attempted to forcefully make her way into the store wielding a screwdriver.
Salvador was confronted by two employees before the start of business hours, who informed her she could not yet enter. Undeterred, she is alleged to have threatened the staff promptly and proceeded to enter the retailer located at 20251 State Highway 18. Deputy A. Gonzalez, who is actively investigating the case, revealed that upon arrival law enforcement found Salvador attempting to hastily exit the premises with stolen goods. She was quickly apprehended and taken into custody without further incident.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has confirmed that Jamie Lynn Salvador faces several charges, including robbery, commercial burglary, brandishing a weapon, and making criminal threats. She was arrested and subsequently transported to High Desert Detention Center. Salvador is currently being held on a $50,000 bail, as outlined in the Sheriff-Coroner Shannon D. Dicus's statement on the matter.
Authorities are now reaching out to the community seeking any additional information regarding the occurrence.
