Early Wednesday morning, an attempted break-in at R&D Pharmacy in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles was disrupted when the store's alarm system was activated. According to KTLA, three suspects approached the pharmacy, located on Franklin Avenue, at around 4 a.m., using an electric saw and a crowbar in an attempt to breach the glass entrance and metal gate behind it.

Roselyn Roque, the pharmacy's owner, indicated this was not the first time her business had been targeted, having been previously struck twice in the past two years. Spoken to by KTLA, Roque mentioned the burglars seem driven to return despite her efforts with steel gates and an advanced security system installed. "Opiates and stimulants," she said. "They have really high value on the streets."

No merchandise was stolen during the recent incident, as the security alarms appeared to have deterred the suspects successfully. In a statement obtained by FOX LA, it was reported that the damages including broken glass, still left by the burglars, will cost Roque an estimated $1,000 to replace. Details surrounding the suspects remain minimal, only that they were wearing hoodies during the attempted burglary.

Concerns for personal safety are now mounting for Roque, who during an interview with KTLA, expressed that she fears a possible return of the burglars while she is present in the store. "I'm scared that they might come back and I'm here," she explained. The pharmacy owner remains resolute in seeking justice, telling police that she would press charges should the suspects be apprehended "If I can help another small business like mine to not go through something like this, then I'm going to do my part and keep [the suspects] off the streets," she told KTLA.

The Los Angeles Police Department is urging anyone with information on the attempted burglary to come forward. Individuals can contact LAPD at 1-877-527-3247. As the suspects' vehicles have been captured on security cameras, with one car's license plate visibly identified, the authorities hope this new evidence will lead to a swift arrest.
