
Delaware State Police are actively investigating a robbery at a gas station in New Castle, as reported by authorities. The incident, which occurred early on June 6, involved an unidentified white male suspect who demanded cash from an employee at the Dash In gas station, located at 154 North Dupont Highway. According to a statement from the Delaware State Police, the robbery was reported at approximately 4:55 a.m.
Upon arrival, troopers gathered information that the suspect, who was wearing dark-colored clothing and a mask, made the threat to the employee while revealing a handgun. Fleeing on foot, he was seen heading in the direction of the nearby Airport Plaza Shopping Center carrying an undisclosed sum of cash. It was reported that the suspect lifted his shirt, displaying the gun, demanding the employee empty the cash register.
The gas station employee complied with the suspect's demands, potentially avoiding a dangerous escalation. Authorities are now seeking help from the community in identifying the perpetrator.
