Euless Public Library is kicking off a hot season with cool events this summer, each specially designed to turn up the fun and dial down the bore for kids of all ages. Families looking to mix education with recreation need to look no further – these free, interactive events are set to make summer learning an adventure, according to the City of Euless.
First up on the calendar, Professor Brainius drops in on June 7, from 2 to 3 p.m. to dazzle youngsters with a show of amazing science experiments. Not just a spectacle, the event is a hands-on opportunity, it promises to ignite imaginations and fuel a passion for the sciences in young minds.
On June 14 between 3 and 4 p.m., the library strikes a chord with KidsNote, a program hosted by the Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra. This auditory experience lets kids dive into the world of classical music through an immersive, interactive showcase. Sound transforms into a palpable entity here, as children see, touch, and explore musical instruments and compositions.
The scavenger hunt fans are in for a treat, with not one, but two journeys laid out. The first, a melody-infused quest, beckons children to follow a trail of musical clues and channel their inner craftsperson, this hunt concludes victoriously with a prize. Later in the month, the library turns into a technological maze with a Robot Scavenger Hunt from June 28 to 30, promising similar crafty challenges and rewards for the intrepid participants.
Furry, scaly, and feathered friends from the Dallas Zoo will drop by the Euless Public Library on June 21, from 2 to 3 p.m. for Animal Adventures. It's a prime time for animal lovers to get up close and personal with real creatures and learn about wildlife from experienced handlers.
