Knoxville Fire Department Responds to Residential Blaze in Lonsdale and Apartment Fire in West KnoxvilleSource: X/Knoxville Fire

Early Monday morning, the Knoxville Fire Department was summoned to a residential fire in the Lonsdale neighborhood on Bragg Street, the department's officials reported to WVLT. Assistant Chief Mark Wilbanks indicated that the notification came after a neighbor, upon discovering the fire, promptly drove to Fire Station 7 to alert the firefighters, the blaze was located in the 2600 block of Bragg Street where crews, arriving shortly after 6:30 a.m., encountered a small fire inside the home; additional units were dispatched to assist while Engine 7 tackled the flames which proved challenging due to the building’s condition.

Meanwhile, on the preceding Sunday morning, the Knoxville Fire Department grappled with another incident—an apartment fire in West Knoxville at 806 Flanders Lane, as detailed by WBIR. Crews arrived to find heavy smoke billowing from the attic alongside visible flames from the building's rear, despite the windy conditions complicating their efforts, firefighters managed to contain the most intense part of the fire within 35 minutes, but the wind and the ferocity of the flames had already caused significant damage to the top floor of the complex, fortunately, there were no injuries reported in both fires.

A recent update from Knoxville Fire's X stated that their personnel were on the scene of a house fire at the intersection of Bragg St. And Louisiana Ave. where they extinguished a small fire in a dwelling, and once again, the department confirmed that no one was injured during the incident.
