A young man from Lacey was taken into custody late Thursday after allegedly committing a double homicide, inciting a police chase that concluded with his arrest. According to KING5, the Lacey Police Department received reports of a shooting at a residence on the 5400 block of 57th Loop Southeast around 9 p.m., where they subsequently discovered two deceased individuals.
KOMO News reported that the accused, who lived with the victims, was ultimately apprehended with the assistance of the Washington State Patrol's air unit and the Thurston County SWAT team.
The suspect is currently being held at the Thurston County jail as charges including second-degree domestic violence murder have been filed against him and as the community grapples with the immediacy of the violence, details about the victims have been withheld pending formal identification procedures by the Thurston County coroner's office, as per KOMO News.
