Moving quickly to combat the flames, firefighters established a water supply and swiftly deployed fire hoses toward what was initially a large rubbish fire located against the side of the building. With skilled precision that allowed no room for hesitation, the firefighters managed to extinguish the fire before it could spread to the structure's interior. There were no injuries reported in the blaze, and the cause is still under investigation. The fight against the fire was completed by the first 14 firefighters on the scene, as reported by the LAFD.
The LAFD's Battalion 13, South Bureau, and Council District 9 coordinated the emergency response. The incident took place under the operational command of Battalion Chiefs 1 and 13, with multiple engine companies and task forces responding, including E10, E14, E15, E46, and several others. Rescue ambulances RA14 and RA814 were also present to provide any needed medical attention.
