
Los Angeles firefighters quickly contained and extinguished a blaze last night in Westlake, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD). The fire, which erupted in a two-story garden-style apartment building, was reported at 141 N Alvarado St, with the first crew arriving at the scene by 8:15 P.M. A briefing from the LAFD confirmed that the firefighting team, consisting of 32 personnel, had the flames fully extinguished within 20 minutes.
Officials indicated that the cause of the fire is under active investigation, as is routine for such incidents.
No residents were harmed, and the LAFD has not yet reported any firefighter injuries. The fire department's official report did not mention any damage to surrounding structures, and the fight against the inferno was described as a well-coordinated effort.
