
A fire erupted within a Hollywood Hills apartment building yesterday, as the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) reported a blaze that took hold of a second-floor unit at 3662 N Barham Bl. According to an LAFD alert, the incident, registered under INC#0895, commenced at approximately 1:49 PM. The address corresponds to a three-story center hallway apartment structure.
The Los Angeles fire crews mobilized swiftly, with initial units arriving on the scene to confront the flames that were described as being contained to one room within the residence. The response included teams from various stations, including Battalion 5 and nearby fire stations FS 76 and E60, which encountered the fire that had manifested itself ominously in the presumed tranquility of an ordinary kitchen setting. The firefighting efforts took just 18 minutes from the moment of response to achieve a full knockdown of the flames, extinguishing the fire efficiently, the team accomplished the task commendingly with no reported injuries, highlighting the proficiency and preparedness of the LAFD personnel.
No civilians or firefighters sustained injuries during the incident, and as of the latest updates, the fire's origins remain under investigation. Brian Humphrey, speaking for the LAFID, provided an update that was disseminated in a post-incident report. "Fist arriving 22 LAFD Firefighters," he reported, "took just 18 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish a kitchen fire within one second floor apartment."
The fire elicited a robust emergency response, notably comprising teams identified by their station affiliations: Engines E229, E260, E60, E76, E86, along with Rescue Ambulances RA76 and RA86 and Battalion Chiefs BC14 and BC5, among other support units.
