The blaze, prompting a swift response from the firefighters of multiple stations, including FS 13 and Batt 11, disrupted the slumbering peace of the neighborhood. The well-coordinated firefighting effort, comprised of teams designated as E10, E11, E13, E210, E211, RA13, RA813, SQ21, T10, and T11, and supervised by Battalion Chiefs from BC11 and BC701, as per LAFD initial report, was crucial in preventing the fire from spreading to the inhabited structure.
Remarkably, after nearly twenty-three minutes of battling the inferno, a follow-up announcement from LAFD reported a successful knockdown of the fire. The dedicated efforts of the thirty-two firefighters to contain and extinguish the fire were made public via an LAFD bulletin, confirming that the nearby apartment building was spared from the flames and ensuring that no injuries were reported.
The LAFD announced, "Thirty-two firefighters knocked down the outside fire, keeping the flames out of the nearby apartment building, in 23 minutes."
