On the afternoon of June 9, 2024, Dunwoody Police were dispatched to a shooting at 100 Perimeter Lofts Circle. According to the Dunwoody Police Department's report, officers found 39-year-old Edward Taylor with gunshot wounds. First aid was promptly administered before he was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition.

The investigation led to the quick arrest of 17-year-old Josiah Davis from Macon. Davis was found on the property and taken into custody without further incident. He faces multiple charges, including Aggravated Assault, Firearm Possession during the commission of a Felony, two counts of Criminal Damage 1st degree, and Unlawful Possession of a Handgun by a person under 18 years old. Subsequently, he was transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

The violent encounter appears to have been sparked by an earlier altercation involving stolen property. Taylor reportedly confronted Davis about the items the day before, an exchange that ultimately led to the shooting. The Dunwoody Police Department is still investigating the circumstances that led to this near-fatal event.

The Dunwoody community is urged to come forward with any additional information. "Anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to contact Detective Vermillion," as stated by the police department. Meanwhile, Sgt.
